Peer Support

Peer Support is a fundamental aspect of our Pastoral Care ethos.

The Peer Support Program provides and evidence-based, peer-led approach to enhance the mental, social and emotional wellbeing of our students.

The program focuses on developing connections between students, and to strengthen their ability to meet life’s challenges and pressures with confidence and perseverance.

Bounce Back Program

All classes participate in the evidence-based Bounce Back wellbeing and resilience program. It is a whole-school social and emotional learning curriculum program which promotes positive mental health, wellbeing and resilience. Through Bounce Back we have embedded the common values of Respect, Cooperation, Friendliness, Acceptance, Support and Integrity to the culture of Arcadia PS.

Life is a complex journey and everyone experiences setbacks, frustrations and hard times at different stages of life. We cannot protect young people from stress but as educators we can make a significant contribution to their welfare by teaching them coping skills and creating class and school environments which promote their resilience.
